Skimlinks was founded in London in 2007 and was acquired by Taboola in 2021. It automates affiliate monetization by converting ordinary product links in editorial content into tracked affiliate links, giving publishers a single connection to more than 48,500 merchants and dozens of underlying networks. The service targets content publishers who do not want to manage individual merchant programs.

Publishers earn a share of commissions on sales they drive, with Skimlinks retaining a service fee of roughly 25% of earnings. Payouts are made monthly once a threshold of about $65 is reached, via PayPal or bank transfer. It suits editorial sites and bloggers who prefer hands-off, automated affiliate coverage over manual link management.
